Our Programmes
Three Programmes, One Clear Direction
Each programme is complete in itself. Choose the entry point that fits your schedule, your current clarity, and how deeply you want to go.
Back to HomeHow We Work
Our Approach to Teaching Finance
Every Owlspring programme follows the same underlying method: we begin with what participants already know, introduce structure around it, and leave them with printed materials they can continue using on their own.
We don't rely on slides or videos as the primary format. Sessions are facilitated conversations โ the kind where a participant can interrupt with a question and the room benefits from the answer.
The programmes are progressive but not dependent. You can attend a single workshop and find it complete. You can also move from one programme to the next as your readiness grows.
Conversation-First
Sessions are driven by participant questions, not an agenda that must be completed.
Structured Frameworks
Each programme uses a clear organising structure โ account maps, monthly rhythms, curriculum modules โ not an informal chat.
Printed Output
Every participant leaves with something physical โ a completed map, a set of routine cards, or a workbook with their notes inside.
Education Only
No product referrals, no sales close. Our programmes are standalone educational experiences.
The Quiet Account Workshop
A weekend programme that helps adults take inventory of their accounts โ bank, EPF, ASB/ASN where applicable, unit trusts, insurance, and household memberships. Participants build a household account map on a single printed page.
The format is small-group and facilitated rather than advisory. Participants work through a structured process with prompts and printouts that guide them to gather and organise what they hold โ without anyone telling them what to do with it.
What the Workshop Includes
- Two facilitated sessions across one weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Printed account inventory prompts and blank map template
- Completed, personalised household account map (one A4 page)
- Group discussion of common account categories: EPF, ASB, insurance, unit trusts
- No product recommendations โ purely educational
Programme Steps
- 1Introduction session: what we mean by "accounts" and why mapping matters
- 2Guided inventory: working through each account category with prompts
- 3Map completion: transferring inventory notes to the single-page format
- 4Closing discussion: where to store the map, when to update it, next steps
Monthly Rhythms Programme
A six-week evening course on building gentle monthly money routines that suit second-half-of-life households โ paying recurring obligations, reviewing statements, scheduling family conversations, and noting things to follow up.
The programme includes printed routine cards, a household calendar template, and access to a small online community of peers from the same cohort. Sessions run on weekday evenings and are designed to fit around work and family commitments.
What the Programme Includes
- Six weekly evening sessions (approximately 90 minutes each)
- Printed monthly routine cards with specific prompts
- Household calendar template built around Malaysian financial rhythms
- Access to a small, closed online peer community (same cohort)
- Educational โ no product recommendations or financial advice
Topics Across the Six Sessions
- 1Understanding your recurring financial obligations
- 2Reading statements: what to look for, what to file, what to question
- 3Scheduling and keeping financial conversations with family
- 4Building a follow-up list and acting on it
- 5Setting and reviewing a simple household budget rhythm
- 6Making the routine stick โ review and next steps
The Second-Half Curriculum
A 12-week comprehensive cohort programme covering household money rhythms, common considerations in the second half of life, conversations with adult children, basic record-keeping for couples and individuals, and orientation toward licensed practitioners for specific advice.
This is Owlspring's most complete programme. It includes a printed reader, three live cohort meetings, a workbook with structured exercises, and a closing reflection session. It is educational in nature and not a substitute for advice from licensed professionals.
What the Curriculum Includes
- 12 weeks of structured modules (primarily self-paced with facilitated touchpoints)
- Printed reader covering all curriculum topics
- Workbook with exercises and reflection prompts
- Three live cohort meetings (in-person, Bayan Lepas)
- Closing reflection session with the full cohort
- Post-programme check-ins at four and eight weeks

Across All Programmes
Standards We Apply to Every Programme
Session Confidentiality
What participants share in a session is not repeated outside the room. Group members are reminded of this at the start of every cohort.
Data Handling
Participant information collected during enrolment is handled in line with Malaysian personal data protection requirements and not shared with third parties.
Educational Scope
All programmes operate within an educational remit. Facilitators do not offer financial advice and are clear about this boundary throughout every session.
Post-Session Feedback
We gather brief written feedback after each cohort session and use it to improve the next one. Feedback is anonymous and reviewed before the following session.
Annual Content Review
Printed materials and session content are reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in EPF rules, ASB/ASN contribution structures, and Malaysian household financial norms.
Referral Transparency
When a participant needs to speak with a licensed professional, we say so clearly. Owlspring has no referral arrangements with any financial firm or product provider.
